D. Wayne Ward

Donald Wayne Ward, 64, of 4003 Virginia Road, Tyner, NC, died Friday, June 7, 2013 in his home. Mr. Ward was born in Chowan County, and was the son of the late Elton Claxton and Mary Elizabeth Layden Ward. A retired self-employed dump truck operator, he had served in the United States Marine Corps. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Holmes Ward. Surviving is his sister, Patsy W. Myers of Gates. In keeping with his request, no service will be held.
