Donald D. Forehand, Sr.

Donald Dail "Donnie" Forehand, Sr., 70, of 1341 Paradise Road, Edenton, NC, died Monday, June 10, 2013 in Chowan River Nursing and Rehabilitation. Mr. Forehand was born in Chowan County and was the son of the late Curtis Oliver and Elsie Dail Forehand. Retired from Carter's Ink, later Pelican Corp., he was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, and loved hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Sherland and Ronald Forehand. Surviving are his sons, Donald Dail Forehand, Jr. and wife Carey of Winterville and Christopher Todd Forehand and wife Tara of Grifton; grandchildren, Dail and Chase Forehand of Edenton and Hailey and Tyler Forehand of Grifton; step-grandchildren, Ashley Wells and James Byrd, and a step-great-granddaughter, Juliyanne Beaman, all of Winterville; his sister, Darlene Webster of Elizabeth City; and his brother, Carl E. Forehand of Edenton. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Beaver Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Bob Young. The family will assemble at Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, in the hour prior to services in preparation for the procession to the grave.
