Lana Trammel Woods

Lana Trammel Woods, 70, of 162 Riverside Drive, Hertford, NC, died Monday, June 3, 2013 in her home. Mrs. Woods was born in Lincoln County and was the daughter of the late Leland and Inez Reep Trammel. Retired as co-owner and operator of Catawba Valley Catering and Vending in Denver, NC, more recently while living in Hertford she co-owned and operated Albemarle Pet Sitting and had faithfully attended Chapel On The Sound. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Todd Wilson, and a brother, Clifford Roberts. Surviving are her husband of 21 years, James David Woods; a daughter, Robin Wilson Hardin and husband Danny of Lincolnton; a son, William Wilson of Lincolnton; and a sister, Glenna Roberts of Hickory. Also surviving are Mr. Woods' four sons, James Woods, Jr. and wife Mary Ann of Virginia Beach, VA, Robert Woods and wife Jessica of Pelham, AL, Marvin Woods of Statesville, and Billy Woods and wife Robin of Knoxville, TN. Together they shared five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Chapel On The Sound by Pastor Chris Wilson. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is assisting the family with the cremation arrangements.
