Iris Lee Walsh Fairfield

Iris Lee Walsh Fairfield, 100, of 117 Taylor Lane, Hertford, NC, died Monday, June 17, 2013 in her home. Mrs. Fairfield was born in Norfolk, VA and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Willie Mae Walsh. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three husbands, a daughter, a son, two sisters, and a brother. Surviving are her three daughters, Shirley Anderson and husband Dick, Joyce Foster, and Malinda Gierau and husband Chuck, all of California; two sons, Bernard Poff and Edward Poff and wife Frances, both of Hertford; a brother, George Bickers of Virginia Beach; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. At her request, no services will be held. Friends may join the family at the residence.
