Peggy Jane Hobbs Wyatt

Peggy Jane Hobbs Wyatt, 79, of 503 Spivey Road, Hobbsville, NC, died Sunday, July 7, 2013 in her home. Mrs. Wyatt was born in Perquimans County and was the daughter of the late Linwood Wilson and Sarah Ida Winslow Hobbs. An LPN, she was employed at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital in Suffolk for over 40 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Wyatt; an infant son; a son-in-law, Billy Seal; and by a grandson, Buddy Lee Wyatt. Surviving are three daughters, Catherine Jane Wyatt Seal, Cynthia Paige Wyatt Wieland (David, Sr.), and Rita Lea Wyatt Cornett (Wesley Jordan); a brother, Charlie Calvin Hobbs; four grandchildren, Richie Seal (Kelly Duncan), Heather Dawn Long (Chris), Jackie Beasley (Matthew), and Adam Cornett (Nala Bembury); and seven great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Hobbsville Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Gene Asbill. Friends may join the family in the social hall of the church immediately following the graveside service. Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, is handling arrangements.
