Edna Elizabeth Winslow, 96, of 296 Turnpike Road, Belvidere, NC, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013, in Chowan River Nursing & Rehabilitation, Edenton. Mrs. Winslow was born in Perquimans County, and was the daughter of the late John DeWitt and Sabra Allen White Winslow. A homemaker, she was a member of Up River Friends Meeting and its Elizabeth White Missionary Circle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Alvah Winslow, her son, James DeWitt Winslow, sisters Lena Winslow, Odessa Williams, and Burnette Lane, by brothers, Branning and Leland Winslow, and by a grandson, Eric Boyce. Surviving are her daughter, Kay W. Boyce and husband Ronald; and her daughter-in-law, Dianne B. Winslow, all of Belvidere; four grandchildren, Michelle Pronto (Rick), Nicky Winslow (Tonya), Lisa Klinger (Jeremy), and Bryan Winslow; a granddaughter-in-law, Christy Boyce; five great-grandchildren, Jonathan Boyce (Tiffani), Dawn Craddock (Matt), Chelsi Bunch (Kix), and Alyssa and Hannah Klinger; and three great-great-granddaughters, Cailyn Stallings, Ariel Craddock, and Natalie Bunch. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Up River Friends Meeting by Pastor Richard Wilcox. Burial will follow in the Up River Cemetery. Friends may join the family Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, and all other times at the residence.
