Butch Dew

Willis Norby "Butch" Dew, Jr., 63, of 4638 Hwy. 258 South, Tarboro, NC, died Friday, August 9, 2013 at the home of his sister in Tyner, after a courageous six year battle against Cancer. "Butch" was born in Wilson County and was the son of the late Willis N., Sr. and Gladys Phillips Dew. An automobile mechanic, he was a member of the American Legion and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Surviving are three sisters, Linda Dew Hare and husband Dennis of Tyner, Deloras Dew Nichols and husband Bradley of Sims, and Sandra Dew Mullins and husband Jeff of Elm City; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and his constant and faithful canine companion, Dixi. A private memorial service will be held. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, Edenton, assisted the family with arrangements.
