Horace Lee Stallings, Jr.

Horace Lee Stallings, Jr., 69, of 025 Horace Stallings Lane, Hobbsville, NC, died Thursday, August 29, 2013 in his home. Mr. Stallings was born in Suffolk, VA and was the son of the late Horace Lee, Sr. and Doris Hobbs Stallings. A retired farmer, he was a member of Sandy Cross Baptist Church and had served in the North Carolina National Guard. Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Ann Stallings; a daughter, Carla S. Cates and husband David of Raleigh; a son, Marcus R. Stallings and wife Elizabeth of Hobbsville; a sister, Marcia Motsinger of West End; and five grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. in Sandy Cross Baptist Church Cemetery by the Revs. Terry Jones and Vicki Woolard. Friends may join the family at the residence.
