Dorothy Griffin Lepley

Dorothy Griffin Lepley, 86, of 314 Cayuga Trail, Edenton, NC, died Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC. Mrs. Lepley was born in Elloree, SC and was the daughter of the late Charlie Marion and Maggie Lou Wiles Griffin. A homemaker and member of Bandon Chapel Church, she was an avid gardener and nature lover, a beloved mother and grandmother, absolutely adored her family, and shared her laughter and humor with all who met her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Nathan "Bob" Lepley. Surviving are her daughters, Teresa L. Linhardt and husband David of Edenton and Cathy L. Harrell and husband Darrell of Franklin, NC; her son, Robert Barry "Bob" Lepley and wife Debbie of Elloree; her sister, Annie Metts of Summerville, SC; her brother, L.D. "Shorty" Griffin of Elloree; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, by the Rev. Charlie Ullom. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach, VA.
