Cecelia Morton Grote

Cecelia Morton Grote, 87, 409 Seaview Drive, Edenton, NC, came to rest on Saturday, September 28, 2013. Mrs. Grote was born in Manchester, England on August 10, 1926 and was the daughter of the late James and Anne Ingham Morton. A homemaker, she was a member of Albemarle Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death a son, Gary John, and by a sister, Anne. Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Arthur H. Grote; eight children, Gary, Raymond, Deborah, Pamela, Terrance, Susan, Anne, and Sean; three sisters, Edith, Elsie, and Mavis; 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held Monday, October 14th, at 1:30 p.m. in Albemarle Baptist Church by the Rev. Tommy Berry.
