Joseph Bryant DeMasse

Joseph Bryant DeMasse, 69, of 811 NC 45 North, Merry Hill, NC, died Tuesday, October 15, 2013 in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC. Mr. DeMasse was born in Bertie County and was the son of the late Louis and Evelyn Lee DeMasse. Retired from the shipbuilding industry, he was a member of the Riverside Hunt Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mikey DeMasse, and brothers, Clarence Melvin Lee and Sammy Lee DeMasse. Surviving are a daughter, Evelyn Ingram of Waynesboro, VA; a brother, Louis A. "Billy" Lee of Plymouth; one grandchild; and many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 27th, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, by Pastor Carroll Bunch.
