Jack David Floyd

Jack David Floyd, 56, of Hertford, NC, died Sunday, October 27, 2013 in Vidant Chowan Hospital, Edenton. Mr. Floyd was born in South Kingstown, Rhode Island, and was the son of the late Sandra Jean Ballance Floyd. Employed in equipment repair with Phillips Bio-Med Corp., he was a member of the Elks Lodge in Galloway, NJ. Surviving are his father, Ernest Avery Floyd and wife Patricia of Mechanicsville, VA; his companion, Janice Y. Ayres of Hertford, and by Jan's daughters whom he loved as his own, Stephanie Ayres of Smithville, NJ and Debra Hegeman and husband Bob of Williamsburg, VA. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the Snug Harbor Community Center Clubhouse, Snug Harbor Road, Hertford.
