Willie Thomas "Bill" Boyce, Jr., 77, of 110 Hobbs Acre Drive, Edenton, NC, died Friday, November 1, 2013 in Roanoke Landing Nursing & Rehabilitation, Plymouth, NC. Mr. Boyce was born in Chowan County and was the son of the late Willie Thomas, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Hollowell Boyce. A retired supervisor with United Piece Dye Works, he was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, the Edward G. Bond Post #40 of the American Legion, and a former member of both the Edenton Jaycees and the Edenton Volunteer Fire Department. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1958. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Necaise Boyce. Surviving are his daughter, Tamela Boyce "Tammy" Domecq, her husband Coy, and their daughter, Cailyn Rene Domecq, of Colerain; and his son, Edward Blake Boyce, his wife Peggy, and their daughters, Lauren Brooke Boyce and Kamryn Blake Boyce, of Greenwood, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, by Deacon Frank Jones. Burial with military honors will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Friends may join the family on Monday in the funeral home the hour prior to services, and all other times at the residence.
