Joyce Brunson Harrell

Joyce Brunson Harrell, 85, of 602 E. Church St. Ext., Edenton, NC, died Monday, December 2, 2013 in Chowan River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Chowan County she was the daughter of the late William and Maude Elliott Brunson. A retired nurse anesthetist from Chowan Hospital, she was a member of Edenton Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Rodney T. Harrell, Jr.; one son, Rodney Elliott Harrell and wife Debbie of Wake Forest; and two grandchildren, Cori Lynn Harrell of Raleigh and Benton Elliott Harrell of Wilmington. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in Edenton Baptist Church by the Rev. David Brooks. A private burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery.
