Beverly Jean Templeton Wardle

Beverly Jean Templeton Wardle, 70, of 44 Gates Forest Road, Eure, NC, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013 in Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk, VA. Mrs. Wardle was born in Lafayette County, MO and was the daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Templeton. A retired cook, she had been employed for many years with Whaleyville Food Mart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joane Shelby. Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Donald William Wardle; a daughter, Cindy Wardle of Durham; a son, Robert Wardle of Eure; three sisters, Alice Thurman, Evelyon Brown, and Betty Billings, all of Missouri; two brothers, Floyd Templeton of Florida and Jerry Templeton of California; and two grandsons, Brandon and Luther Wardle. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
