Joseph Wayne Hundley

Joseph Wayne "Joe" Hundley, 61, of 103 Pequot Trail, Edenton, NC, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 24, 2013. Mr. Hundley was born in Portsmouth, VA and was the son of the late Dewey Thomas and Mary Ella Anderson Hundley. A planner and estimator with the Public Works Center at Norfolk Naval Base for 35 years, he was a member of Faith Fellowship Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Steve and David Hundley. Surviving are his wife of nearly 27 years, Paula Marie Sicard Hundley; his son, Joseph Thomas Hundley of Edenton; a sister, Peggy Hundley of Edenton; a brother, Charles "Chick" Hundley and wife Dorothy of Sun City, SC; nieces, Lisa and Kim; a nephew, Matthew; and special friends, Jim Milligan and Jackie Blake. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 2, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, by the Rev. Thomas Gregory. Burial will be at a later time in Waynesboro, VA. Friends may join the family in the funeral home following the service, and all other times at the residence.
