Amanda Elmore Tripp

Amanda Dawn Elmore Tripp, 29, of 767 Poplar Neck Road, Tyner, NC, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 in Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. Amanda was born in Chowan County and was the daughter of Debbie Richardson Wiggins of Tyner and the late Glenn Elmore. She had been employed as a server with Applebee's in Elizabeth City and also with both the Edenton and Belvidere Post Offices. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Edward Richardson. Surviving along with her mother are her two daughters, Alexis Faith Elmore of Hertford and Heaven Marie Tripp of Belvidere; a son, Gabreal Glenn Tripp of Belvidere; maternal grandmother, Doris Hollowell of Hobbsville; paternal grandparents, Jeannette and Emmett Elmore of Hertford; two sisters, Crystal Faye Ward of Virginia and Sandy Kathryn Wiggins of Tyner; a brother, William Earl Ward of Belvidere; her step-father, Bobby Wiggins of Hobbsville; and several aunts, uncles and extended family members. Graveside services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in Cedarwood Cemetery by Pastor Frank Carter.
