Gracelyn Spencer Craft

Gracelyn Spencer Craft, 76, of 508 Acorn Hill Road, Sunbury, NC, died Friday, January 31, 2014 in Down East Health & Rehabilitation, Gatesville. Mrs. Craft was born in Tyrell County, NC on April 14, 1937, and was one of ten children born to the late Eugene Herbert and Lattie Mae Davenport Spencer. A homemaker, she was raised in the Pentecostal faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Ralph Craft, Jr. Surviving are three sons, Kerry Craft of Roxboro, Michael Craft and wife Kathy of Hobbsville, and Kevin Craft and wife Tammy of Sunbury; a sister, Virginia Dare Riley of Chesapeake, VA; two brothers, Joseph Spencer of Chesapeake and Irvin Spencer of Lady Lake, FL; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, by the Rev. Mickey Willard. A private burial will follow in Up River Cemetery, Belvidere. Friends may join the family in the funeral home immediately following the chapel service on Monday, and all other times at the residence.
