Betty Privott Dail Forehand, 71, of 212 Riverview Avenue, Camden, NC, died Monday, February 3, 2014, in her home. Mrs. Forehand was born in Chowan County, the daughter of Mae White Privott Corprew of Edenton and the late Carey Augustus Privott, and was the wife of late Robert Preston Dail, Sr. and Johnny Nathan Forehand, Sr. A retired Home Economic Extension Agent in Camden County with the NC Cooperative Extension Service, she received her Bachelor's degree in Child Development and Family Relations from East Carolina University, and later her Master's degree in Adult Education from NC State University. Surviving in addition to her mother are three sons, Robert Preston "Bobby" Dail, Jr. and wife Teresa of Camden, Carey Alan Dail and wife Michelle of Raleigh, and Charles Anthony Dail and wife Becky of Willow Springs; and two brothers, Mac Privott of Edenton and Larry Privott of Virginia Beach, VA. Also surviving are Johnny's children, Tracey Ann Forehand and Johnny Nathan Forehand, Jr., both of Roanoke, VA and William George "Bill" Forehand and wife Yvonne of Sarasota, FL. Together she and Johnny shared 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be officiated by the Rev. Hans Hess. Friends may join the family in the funeral home immediately following the chapel service, and all other times at the residence.
