Cornelia Harrell Cannon

Cornelia Harrell Cannon, 89, formerly of Pennsylvania Avenue, Hertford, NC, died Sunday, February 23, 2014 in Chowan River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Edenton. Miss Cannon was born in Perquimans County and was the daughter of the late Carlton Edgar and Cornelia Harrell "Cornie" Cannon. She was a member of Hertford Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Annette Cannon Keaton. Surviving are two nephews, Don Keaton and wife Sharon of Edenton and Carlton Keaton of Florida; a niece, Bobbi Axt and husband Jeff of Smithfield; and several great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, by the Rev. Thomas Biggs.
