Sybil Sawyer Skinner

Sybil Sawyer Skinner, 86, of 1300 Don Juan Road, Hertford, NC, died Saturday, March 8, 2014 in Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation Center. Miss Skinner was born in Perquimans County on September 9, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Raymond Carlton, Sr. and Blanche Lucinda Sawyer Skinner. A retired clerk from Woodard's Pharmacy, she was a member of Hertford United Methodist Church, its Wesley Circle, and was an avid Bridge player. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Mildred Lambdin, Billie Barrington, and Shirley Edenfield. Surviving are her sister, Blanche Rae Decker; her brother, R. Carl Skinner, Jr. and wife Celtic, all of Hertford; her special great-niece, Kaci Chappell, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Cedarwood Cemetery by the Rev. Larry Bowden and the Rev. H. Gene Boyce. Friends may join the family at the home of her sister, 609 W.
