Dorothy Marie Lammers Hoffmann, 94, of Medical Arts Drive, Edenton, NC, and formerly a long-time resident of Trumbull, CT and later Lakehurst, NJ, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in Vidant Chowan Hospital, Edenton. Mrs. Hoffmann was born in Boston, MA and was the daughter of the late Albert T. and Mary Splaine Lammers. A homemaker, she was a member of Toms River First United Methodist Church in Toms River, NJ and the Modern Muses Woman's Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Hoffmann, and two sisters, Mildred Sullivan and Pauline Wilfert. Surviving are her two daughters, Dorothy Marie Wahlers and husband Ernie of Hertford and Sherri Hoffmann Greene and husband Edward of Walden, NY; four grandchildren, Kaitlin Frances Greene, Timothy Greene, Robert Ernest Wahlers and John Frederick Wahlers; and two great-grandchildren, Willow and Brock Wahlers. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the chapel of Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, NJ.
