Corinne Farless Miller, 87, of 202 Bakertown Road, Windsor, NC, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014 in her home. Mrs. Miller was born in Bertie County on October 21, 1926, and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Zena Dunlow Farless. A homemaker and farmer's wife, she loved being outside gardening and tending her flowers, and inside cooking, canning, and quilting. As a child she was raised in the fellowship of Riverside Baptist Church in Merry Hill, but was a faithful member of Ross Baptist Church where she had served on the Flower Committee arranging the floral bouquets for over 25 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Merle Miller, and her daughter, Kay Miller. Surviving are her daughters, Hazel M. Bass and husband Tony of Edenton and Lynne Miller of Bethel; her son, Lee Miller of Windsor; her sister, Ernestine McVay of Ashburn, VA; her brother, Samuel Farless and wife Betty of Cleveland, TN; five grandchildren, Ricky Bass and wife Chrissy, Shelly Bass, Rebecca Miller, Sarah Miller, and Jeremy Frost; and four great-grandchildren, Brittney Bass, Kaitlyn Bass, Koby Waterfield, and Sawyer Frost. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in Edgewood Cemetery by the Rev. Jeff Russell. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, is handling arrangements. Friends may join the family at the residence.
