George William Thompson, Sr.

George William Thompson, Sr., 80, of Don Juan Road, Hertford, NC, died Monday, May 12, 2014 in Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation, Hertford. Mr. Thompson was born in Waynesboro, VA on January 3, 1934 and was the son of the late William H. and Mary Elizabeth Graham Thompson. A Catholic by faith, he had worked as building contractor, and had served in the United States Marine Corps. Surviving are his son, George W. Thompson, Jr.; and two sisters, Nellie Monroe of Waynesboro and Sara Richardson of Hertford. In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held.
