Jacklyn Marshall Phillips

Jacklyn Marshall Phillips, 77, formerly of NC Hwy 37 N., Gates, NC, died Monday, May 19, 2014 in Down East Health and Rehabilitation Center, Gatesville. Mrs. Phillips was born in Norfolk, VA and was the daughter of the late John C. and Lillian Roberson Marshall. A homemaker, she was a member of Gatesville Baptist Church and had for many years been an active supporter of World Vision. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Roger Phillips, Sr. Surviving are a daughter, Leona C. Clinton and husband Robert of Halifax, VA; two sons, Bill Phillips, Jr. and wife Kay and Bruce Phillips, all of Chesapeake, VA; two sisters, Peggy Valentine and Dot Minster, both of Halifax; a brother, Charles Marshall of Naples, FL; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in Greenbrier Community Church, Chesapeake, VA.
