Lorean Wright

Patricia Lorean Wright, 72, of 109 Oakridge Drive, Edenton, NC, died Thursday, May 22, 2014 in her home. Ms. Wright was born in Chowan County and was the daughter of the late Rupert Edgar and Elizabeth Rogerson Wright. Retired from Vidant Chowan Hospital as a financial controller, she was a member of Open Door Church where she was instrumental in starting its Prayer Shawl Ministry, and had also been very active with the Chowan County Senior Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Overton, and a brother, Sam Wright. Surviving are her daughter, Amy E. Feige and husband Paul of Jacksonville, FL and their children, Bryan, Michael, Christopher, Douglas, and Kyle; a son, William E. Flynn, Jr. and wife Nicole of Conway and their daughter, Brianne; a brother, Teddie Wright and wife Mercedes of Edenton; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Wright of Roanoke Rapids; a brother-in-law, Henry Overton of Edenton; many special nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews; and many extended family members. Funeral services will be held Monday at 3:00 p.m. in Open Door Church by Pastor Stephen Mizell. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, handling arrangements. Friends may join the family at the residence.
