Peggy Ann Meads Brabble

Peggy Ann Meads Brabble, 59, of 746 Pender Road, Hertford, NC, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in Vidant Chowan Hospital with her family by her side. Mrs. Brabble was born in Pasquotank County and was the daughter of Molly Ballance Meads of Elizabeth City and the late Mack Meads. A retired children's librarian from the Pasquotank County Library, she was a member of City Road United Methodist Church in Elizabeth City. Surviving are her husband of 31 years, Lee Brabble; a son, William Matthew Brabble and wife Wendy of Elizabeth City; two grandchildren, Brianna and Austin; three sisters, Barbara Sawyer and husband Donald and Joyce Betts and husband Lloyd, all of Elizabeth City, and Sheila Meads of Poole, GA; and a brother, Mack Allen Meads and wife Michelle of Elizabeth City. A gathering for friends to join and visit with the family will be held Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford.
