Lib Morgan

Beulah Elizabeth Leonard "Lib" Morgan, 87, formerly of Winfall, NC, and more recently of Spring Arbor of The Outer Banks, Kill Devil Hills, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Mrs. Morgan was born in Grayson County, VA and was the daughter of the late John Perry and Mary Roberts Leonard. A homemaker, she was a caring and loving mother, a dedicated parent involved in the lives of her children. A member of Berea Church of Christ, she had served on the Perquimans County District Schools Committee, and also had served for several years as clerk of the Town of Winfall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Shelton Morgan; two sons, Steven K. and Martin K. Morgan; a sister, Zella L. Dillon; and six brothers, Roy J., Claude W., Harold E. Howard H., Thurman M. and Harry W. Leonard. Surviving are her three sons, Thomas L "Skip" Morgan and wife Linda of Manteo, Donald B. Morgan of Miami Beach, FL, and Timothy E. Morgan and wife Dianne of Kings Mountain; a sister, Edith L. Sutherland of Galax, VA; three grandsons, Thomas L. Jr., Curtis S., and Jonathan E. Morgan; and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in Cedarwood Cemetery by Dr. I. Kimble "Sonny" Furrow. Friends may join the family Saturday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford.
