Joan Rosaline Meadows O'Neal, 76, of 100 Apache Trail, Edenton, NC, died Sunday, June 8, 2014 in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville. Mrs. O'Neal was born in Suffolk, VA and was the daughter of the late Claude V., Sr. and Edna Green Meadows. A homemaker, she was a member of Bandon Chapel Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William C. O'Neal, Sr. Surviving are her daughter, Barbara "B.J." O'Neal (Robert Carter) of Edenton; two sons, William C. O'Neal, Jr. of Edenton and James Allen O'Neal of Charlotte; a brother, Claude V. Meadows, Jr. of Newport News, VA; two grandchildren, Sarah Dawn Gibbs (Josh) of Shiloh and Christopher William Radke (Melissa Anne Lohning) of Edenton; and two great-grandchildren, Emma Rose Gibbs and Joshua Lee Gibbs, Jr. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in Bandon Chapel Church. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Friends may join the family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and all other times at the residence.
