Dorothy Marie Elliott

Dorothy Marie Elliott, 89, of Tampa, FL, and formerly of Hertford, NC, died Saturday, June 7, 2014. Ms. Elliott was born in Pasquotank County and was the daughter of the late Hugh William and Lucy Chappell Elliott. A faithful servant of the Lord, she had served as a missionary to Japan for 16 years, and had managed several Lifeway Christian Bookstore locations in the United States. She was a member of University Baptist Church in Tampa. Surviving are several cousins and extended family members and friends. Graveside services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Cederwood Cemetery by the Rev. H. Gene Boyce. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is assisting the family with arrangements.
