Billy Dail

Percy Wilmer "Billy" Dail, Jr., 72, of 4206 Caratoke Highway, Barco, NC, and a former long-time resident of Virginia Beach, VA, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014 in his home. Mr. Dail was born in Chowan County on April 17, 1942, and was the son of the late Percy W., Sr. and Edna Mae Layton Dail. A retired furniture salesman with The Dump in Norfolk, VA, he had served in the National Guard. Surviving are his wife of nearly 37 years, Beverly Carey Dail; two daughters, Beth Dail Loop of Chesapeake, VA and Melissa Dail Payton and husband David of Barco; two sons, David Dail and wife Margaret of Edenton and Brian Dail and wife Renee` of Indian Harbor Beach, FL; a brother, Jimmy Dail and wife Billie of Lumberton; six grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, by the Rev. Wallace Phillips. Friends may join the family in the funeral home immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to any chapter of the American Cancer Society.
