Marilyn Macadam Sackrison

Marilyn Leh Macadam Sackrison, 89, of 1004 Quail Run Drive, Edenton, NC, died Friday, July 11, 2014 in Chowan River Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Sackrison was born in Slatington, PA on March 26, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Foster and Dorothy Lazerus Macadam. Before moving to Edenton to be with her son and his family, she retired as a social worker with Easton Hospital, was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Hazleton, a member of The Red Hat Society, and had worked as a volunteer at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Hazleton, and also with The American Cancer Society in Allentown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Bauman. Surviving are her daughter, Amy Wagner of Windermere, FL; her son, Jeffrey Sackrison and wife Sandra of Edenton, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in St. Paul's Episcopal Church by The Rev. Jim Reed. Burial will follow in the church's memorial garden. Friends may join the family in the Parish Hall following the service, and all other times at the home of her son, 1004 Quail Run Drive.
