Veronica Jones Haskett

Veronica Jones Haskett, 68, of West Street, Plymouth, NC, died Friday, July 25, 2014 in Washington County Hospital. Mrs. Haskett was born in Pasquotank County on November 15, 1945 and was the daughter of the late Ronald Lee and Ella Louise Stevenson Jones. Formerly employed as a security guard at Weyerhaeuser, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Moody Vance Haskett, and her son-in-law, Robby Smith. Surviving are her daughter, Vann H. Smith of Plymouth; her son, Vance J. Haskett and wife Nancy of Wanchese; her brother, Donald P. Jones of Chesapeake, VA; five grandchildren, Brittney, Autumn, Justin, Journey, and Beverly; and seven great-grandchildren, Hailey, Jaden, Hannah, Heather, Paul, Helena, and Cheyenne. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the mausoleum chapel at West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Elizabeth City. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, is handling arrangements. Friends may join the family at 208 Hampton Drive in Plymouth.
