Kenneth James Wiggins, Jr.

Kenneth James "Kenny" Wiggins, Jr., 26, of 1463 Carters Road, Hobbsville, NC, died Saturday, July 26, 2014 as the result of an automobile accident. Kenny was born in Pasquotank County on January 5, 1988, and was the son of Kenneth James Wiggins, Sr. of Hobbsville and Amy Long Wiggins of Corapeake. A ship fitter, he was currently employed with B.A.E. Shipyard in Norfolk, VA. Preceding him in death were his paternal grandfather, William "Billy" Wiggins, and maternal step-grandmother, Carolyn Long. Surviving in addition to his parents are his fiancée, Stephanie Pierce Wiggins of Hobbsville; a daughter, Kara Marie Wiggins, a son, Kenneth James Wiggins, III, both of the home; a sister, Selena Wiggins of Corapeake; maternal grandmother, Frances Duncan of Elizabeth City, maternal grandfather, Mercer Long, Sr. of Camden; paternal grandmother, Kathryn Bivens of Tyner; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Wiggins Family Cemetery, Carters Crossroads, by Pastor Tommy Oliver. Friends may join the family Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, and other times at the home of his mother, 330 Drum Hill Road, Corapeake.
