Katherine Lane Lamb

Katherine Faye Lane Lamb, 68, of 207 Woodland Circle, Hertford, NC, died Thursday, August 21, 2014 in Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation of Elizabeth City following a 16 year battle with cancer. Ms. Lamb was born in Perquimans County on December 27, 1945 and was the daughter of the late Vernon Charlie "V.C." and Catherine Nixon Lane. She had been employed for many years with Sun Realty in Kill Devil Hills. Surviving are her three sons, Randy Moore of Hertford, Gene Moore and wife Phyllis of Gatesville and Bradley Lamb of Kitty Hawk; two sisters, Carolyn Baker and husband Lester of Hertford and Pat Carver of Belvidere; and one grandson, Zachary Moore. A memorial service will be held Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the Miller and Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, by Pastor Frank Carter.
