William Calice Cooper

William Calice Cooper, Sr., 73, formerly of Columbia, and more recently of Paradise Road, Edenton, died Thursday, August 28, 2014 in Vidant Chowan Hospital, Edenton. Mr. Cooper was born in Norfolk, VA on July 8, 1941 and was the son of the late Calice C. and Evelyn Roland Twiddy Cooper. A heavy equipment operator, he had been employed in the logging industry for many years. Surviving are his daughter, Evelyn Faye Evans of Hillsborough; two sons, William Cooper, Jr. of Alamance and Sammy Cooper of Plymouth; a sister, Shirley C. Harris of Elizabeth City; two brothers, Colon M. Cooper of Hertford and Mark B. Cooper of North Carolina; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A private service will be held.
