Carolyn Taylor Tynch

Carolyn Delores Taylor Tynch, 71, of 300 Meads Loop, Hertford, NC, died Monday, September 1, 2014 in Vidant Chowan Hospital, Edenton. Ms. Tynch was born in Pasquotank County on August 5, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Earl Daniel and Reba Laura Simmons Taylor. Retired from George C. Moore Company, she was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Edenton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William Earl Taylor and John Franklin Taylor. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, she is survived by her two daughters, Tammy Alexander Lane and husband Stephen and Reba Tynch Smith, all of Hertford; a son, Joseph Daniel Alexander and wife Angela of Elizabeth City; a sister, Laura Taylor Leeman of Elizabeth City; five grandchildren, Amanda, Joey, Shannon, Jamie and Bradley; two great-grandchildren, Kaidan and Andrea; and a very special friend, Wayne Cartwright of Elizabeth City. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Edenton. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, assisted the family with the cremation arrangements.
