Beverly Stork Muzer

Beverly Jane Stork Muzer, 75, of 96 Old Rail Bed, Gates, NC, died Thursday, September 11, 2014 in Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk, VA. Mrs. Muzer was born in Plainfield, NJ on January 23, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Charles Alfred, II and Frances Jane Hulling Stork. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter George Stork. Surviving are her husband of 17 years, Alfred Francis Muzer, Sr.; two daughters, Doreen Branham of Michigan and Barbara Ann Shiffer of New Jersey; two sons, Robert Ditzel and Timothy Ditzel, both of New Jersey; two step-daughters, Margaret Vingara of New Jersey and Joan Muzer of Florida; two step-sons, Alfred Muzer, Jr. and Kurt Muzer, both of New Jersey; a brother, Charles Alfred Stork, III of Virginia. Together Beverly and Alfred shared 30 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two nieces, Tonya Williams and Cheryl O'Brien; two nephews, Chuck Stork, IV and William Lewan; and two special cousins, Madilyn Miller and Marsha Riley. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, NC. Friends may join the family in the funeral home immediately following the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
