Thomas Jefferson "Tommy" Jackson, Jr., 98, formerly of 906 W. Queen Street, Edenton, NC, died Monday, September 22, 2014 at The Currituck House in Moyock. Mr. Jackson was born in Chowan County on January 16, 1916 and was a son of the late Thomas J., Sr. and Lennie Picole Russell Jackson. The retired co-owner and operator of Jackson's TV, he was an Army veteran of World War II, a charter member of the Edenton-Chowan Rescue Squad, and a member of The Improved Order of Red Men. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Perry Jackson. Survivors include two brothers, Talbert Jackson and wife Dot of Roper and Carlton Jackson and wife Betsy of Edenton; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members, and his care-giver and friend, Patty Madry of Edenton. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Beaver Hill Cemetery and will be officiated by Pastor Randy Browder.
