Judy Forehand Copeland

Judy Forehand Copeland, 63, of 1022 W. Bear Swamp Road, Hertford, NC, died Saturday, October 18, 2014 in her home. Mrs. Copeland was born in Chowan County on July 20, 1951 and was the daughter of the late Mack Pruden and Doris Mae Simpson Forehand. Employed for 42 years with Albemarle Dental Associates in Edenton, she was a member of Great Hope Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Dean Corprew. Surviving are her husband, William H. Copeland; two daughters, Cristy C. Devine and husband Louis of Edenton and Billie Jo C. Beasley and husband Jason of Greenville; a sister, Avis Lee and husband Joe; two brothers, Mack Forehand and wife Gloria and Wayne Forehand and wife Cathy, all of Edenton; and four grandchildren, Brandon, Haley, and Easton Devine, and Jonah Beasley. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, by Revs. Stanley Nixon and Danny Gurganus. Friends may join the family Sunday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home, and all other times at the residence.
