Garry Wayne Jordan, Sr., 64, of 115 Emperor Landing Road, Edenton, NC, died Saturday, October 18, 2014 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Mr. Jordan was born in Chowan County on June 15, 1950 and was the son of the late George Thomas and Vanola Hobbs Jordan. A sales representative with East Coast Equipment Company, he was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and had served in the North Carolina National Guard for over 26 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George M. Jordan, and by a granddaughter, Emily Susan Jordan. Surviving are his wife, Brenda Morgan Jordan; his daughter, Wendy Jordan Harrell and husband Kenny of Edenton; his son, Wayne Jordan and wife Susan of Hertford; his sister, Barbara Hall of Greenville; his brother, Herbert Ray Jordan of Elizabeth City; and six grandchildren, Samantha, Courtney, Sarah, Coby, Morgan, and Jordan. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in Macedonia Baptist Church by the Rev. Bob Young. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery.
