Louise Byrum Johnson

Louise Byrum Johnson, 69, of 730 River Cottage Road, Edenton, NC, died Thursday, November 27, 2014 in her home. Mrs. Johnson was born in Chowan County on March 12, 1945, and was the daughter of the late Robert L., Sr. and Bertha B. Byrum. A homemaker, she was a member of Rocky Hock Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, her step-mother, Katie, and by a grandson, Christopher. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Thomas Gilbert Johnson, Jr.; a daughter, Brenda J. Byrum of Edenton; a son, Jimmy Gilbert Johnson, Sr. and wife Beth of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren, Kevin, Brandy, Megan, Jimmy, Jr., Christy, and Cathy; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory by Dr. James Horton. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor.
