Luther Wayne Liverman, 74, of 3586 Davenport Forks Road, Roper, NC, died Sunday, November 30, 2014 in Vidant Chowan Hospital, Edenton. Mr. Liverman was born in Washington County on April 24, 1940, and was the son of the late Luther Warren and Reba Norman Liverman. Retired as a supervisor from the North Carolina Department of Transportation after more than 30 years of employment, he was a member of Scuppernong Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters, Sarah Jane Goff, Florence Weatherbee, Thelma Marshall, Grace Carr, Patsy Niblett, and Pearl Liverman; and by two brothers, John and Bill Liverman. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Alice White Liverman; two daughters, Rhonda Sellers and husband John of Fort White, FL and Ann Marie Liverman of Boca Raton, FL; a son, Forrest Liverman and wife Tina of Edenton; five grandchildren, Chase and Kellen Davenport and Sydney, Gage, and Grant Liverman; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in Scuppernong Church of Christ by the Rev. Cleve Edwards. Friends may join the family in the social of the church the hour prior to the service on Thursday, and all other times at the residence.
