Carson Lee Stallings, Jr., 59, of 534 Hog Neck Road, Hertford, NC, died Thursday, December 4, 2014 in his home. Mr. Stallings was born in Pasquotank County on January 19, 1955, and was the son of the late Carson Lee Stallings, Sr. and Rovena Morse Stallings Lilley. Employed for many years as a farm manager with White Hat Seed Farm, he was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and more recently had attended Fountain of Life Ministries in Elizabeth City. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Butt; father-in-law, Ben Thach; and brother-in-law, Fred Jones. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Debbie Thach Stallings; a daughter, Stephanie Loftis and husband James; a son, Carson Stallings and wife Kacey; a sister, Audrey Jones; mother-in-law, Betty Thach, all of Hertford; sisters-in-law, Jo Winslow of Hertford and Donna Stallings and husband Billy of Elizabeth City; brothers-in-law, Richard Thach and Harvey Butt, Jr., both of Hertford; four grandchildren, Madison and Spencer Loftis and Brody and Jackson Stallings, one grandchild due in March; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Fountain of Life Ministries by the Revs. Hans Hess and Bill Masciangelo. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery with Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, handling arrangements. Friends may join the family at the residence.
