Mae White Privott Corprew

Mae White Privott Corprew, 93, of Mark Drive, Edenton, NC, died Wednesday, December 10, 2014 in Edenton Primetime Retirement Center. Mrs. Corprew was born in Chowan County on May 9, 1921, and was the daughter of the late Moses Walton and Dora Bunch White. A retired LPN from Chowan Hospital, she was a member of Edenton Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by both her husbands, Carey A. Privott and Thomas E. Corprew; her daughter, Betty Dail Forehand; and by her sisters, Josephine Hollowell, Myra Jordan, and Lois Ward. Surviving are two sons, Mac Privott and wife Joan of Edenton, and Larry Privott of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren, Bobby Dail and wife Teresa, Alan Dail, Tony Dail and wife Becky, Wade Privott and wife Julie, Keith Privott and wife Jennifer, and Heidi Privott Skeen and husband Levi; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in Edenton Baptist Church by the Rev. David Brooks. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, handling arrangements.
