Donald Henry Jillson, Jr.

Donald Henry Jillson, Jr., 65, of 9 Jillson Street, Gates, NC, died Saturday, December 20, 2014 in his home. Mr. Jillson was born in Ft. Worth, TX on April 2, 1949, and was the son of the late Donald Henry, Sr. and Emma Sears Jillson. A retired industrial electrician, he was a member of Faith Outreach Community Church. A veteran, he had served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Sass Jillson, and an infant son, Joe. Surviving are his two sons, Donald H. Jillson, III and wife Dawn "Fungus" of Gates and Patrick A. Jillson and wife Christy of Winchester, VA; a sister, Donna of California; seven grandchildren, Harper Thornton, Cannon Ferguson, and Kimberly, D.J., Kayla, Kathleen, and Xavier Jillson; and a great-grandson, Jayden Wilson. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014 at noon in Faith Outreach Community Church by Pastor Kyle Truman. Friends may join the family at the residence. Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, assisted the family with the cremation arrangements.
