Lorina Chinsolo Dail

Lorina Chinsolo Dail, 91, of Dogwood Drive, Edenton, NC, died Wednesday, December 24, 2014 in her daughter's home in Suffolk, VA. Mrs. Dail was born in McDowell County, WV on November 18, 1923 and was the daughter of the late Michael and Lucia Pontalia Chinsolo. A retired seamstress from the former Don Juan Manufacturing Co. in Hertford, she was a member of the Edward G. Bond Post 40 of the American Legion Auxiliary and had been active for several years with the Chowan County Senior Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Dail; a sister, Angelina Mullins; and by two brothers, Nick and Carl "Macaroni" Chinsolo. Surviving are her daughter, Cindy Garrett and husband Ricky of Suffolk; a son, Mike Chinsolo and companion Angelia Smithwick of Ahoskie; four grandchildren, Jackie Pope, Angel Thum, Tammie Shoemaker, and Teresa Dail; and nine great-grandchildren. A graveside memorial service will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in Beaver Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Jesse Croom. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, is assisting the family with arrangements.
