Sarah Byrum Orvin

Sarah Elizabeth Byrum Orvin, 67, of 1110 Ferebee Avenue, Chesapeake, VA, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Orvin was born in Norfolk, VA on December 9, 1947, and was the daughter of the late George Ores and Bernice Bunch Byrum. She had retired from the cafeteria at Thurgood Marshall Elementary School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Dean Orvin. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Kenneth Lynwood Orvin; two brothers, Wayne Byrum of Hobbsville and Jerry Byrum and wife Polly of Suffolk; and other extended family members and friends. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, NC. Burial will follow in the Bunch Family Cemetery in the Selwin community.
