Frank Harrigan

Francis Raymond "Frank" Harrigan, 77, of 437 Daniels Road, Corapeake, NC, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in his home. Mr. Harrigan was born in Washington, D.C. on July 21, 1937, and was the son of the late Francis Raymond Harrigan, Sr. and Mildred Osborn Vangol. A graduate of Norfolk Catholic High School, he was a Marine veteran of the Korean War era. A banker, photographer, court bailiff and sheriff's deputy, he had also served as vice president of an interstate bus company, as president of the Virginia Rifle and Revolver Association, and was a friend and supporter of the USMC shooting team during the 1970's and 80's. Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Loni Ferdman Harrigan; a daughter, Kimberly Bein and husband Kelly; two sons, Thomas Harrigan and Vaughn Harrigan and wife Lori; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandson. A gathering for friends and family will be held Sunday from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville.
