Jean West Clark

Jean West Clark, 91, formerly of Knights Lane, Corapeake, NC, went home to be with the Lord and her late husband, Edward Aaron Clark, on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, the date of their 71st wedding anniversary. Mrs. Clark was born in Wilmington, NC on November 21, 1923 and was the daughter of the late Charles Harper and Lottie Hurst West. A care-giver for the invalid and elderly, she was a founding member of Calvary Baptist Missionary Church of Suffolk, and later a member of Eureka Baptist Church in Corapeake where she taught Sunday School for many years. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by all her siblings, and by a son, Roderick Clark. Surviving are two sons, Samuel C. Clark, and David A. Clark and wife Jane, all of Corapeake; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville. Burial will follow in Eureka Baptist Church Cemetery.
